What does Port of Miami Crane Management do?+

PMCM operates and maintains PortMiami's ship-to-shore gantry cranes, RTGs and passenger boarding bridges under contract with Miami-Dade County, and delivers crane-related capital and infrastructure projects.

Who do I contact about a crane outage or damage?+

Call the operations desk at 305-381-6250 at any hour. Outages affecting berth availability are also posted on the Emergency Notices page.

How do I register as a vendor?+

Complete the vendor registration form on the Procurement page and email it to procurement@cranemgt.com. Registered vendors receive notifications for solicitations in their commodity categories.

Where are bid documents published?+

All ITBs, RFPs and RFQs are listed on the Procurement page with due dates. Document packages are issued by email upon request to procurement@cranemgt.com.

Are board meetings open to the public?+

Yes. Regular board meetings are open, with agendas posted at least 72 hours in advance on the Board of Directors page and dates listed on the Calendar.

What qualifications do crane mechanics need?+

We look for industrial mechanical or electrical experience, comfort working at height, and the ability to obtain a TWIC card. Formal crane experience is preferred but not required for all roles.

How does PMCM prepare for hurricanes?+

Cranes are stowed, boomed up and secured with storm tie-downs according to a staged readiness plan tied to National Hurricane Center advisories.

Can I tour the port or photograph the cranes?+

The terminal is a secure federal facility. Media and educational visit requests go to admin@cranemgt.com at least ten business days in advance.
